You could use old muffin tins and melt the crayons in the oven as an alternative if you didn't want to use the microwave. <br /><br />I agree could be adapted for any holiday. I was trying to think of a way to make homemade triangle crayons or the stone crayons (that are available commercially) to assist with grasp.
